VIA means 'by way of' or 'through' and that's exactly what it represents. Every learning journey happens VIA us and has been designed to guide, support and connect learners as they explore new ideas, build skills and move towards their goals, whatever stage of life they are at.
We are the first to admit that our previous system was rather clunky, difficult to navigate and not particularly user friendly! That’s why the WI Learning Hub was used as a holding platform whilst we tested our online learning model and researched feedback, with a view to designing and launching a permanent home for our educational offer.
VIA has been designed to be flexible and responsive, offering live sessions, recorded content, and digital learning tools within one cohesive system, thereby allowing us to better meet the diverse needs of our learners, improve usability and efficiency, and create a structure that can grow through new subjects, partnerships, and innovation.
VIA has been designed to be:
VIA marks the beginning of a bold new era for learning, one that’s thoughtful, modern and ready for the future.
VIA was created from the belief that everyone, regardless of age, background, location, or digital confidence, should have the opportunity to shape their own learning journey within a welcoming, accessible, and flexible online environment. Women, men, children, home schoolers, those returning to work, retired or disabled, everyone is welcomed and treated equally at VIA.

If you’re experiencing problems joining or viewing a course, try the steps below:
Check you’re using the correct link
Make sure you’re accessing the correct course and Zoom link. If you see a message saying “Host is in another meeting”, double-check the course start date and time.
Check your internet connection
Reduce bandwidth use
If your connection is slow, switching off your camera can help reduce the amount of bandwidth being used and close any apps or tabs that are open on your device as they may still be running in the background.
Try a different browser or device
Copy and paste the link into another browser, or try joining from a different device. This can help if the issue is browser-specific.
Check for updates
Make sure your browser or Zoom app is fully up to date. Installing any pending updates often resolves access issues.
Clear your cache and cookies
